School Building Collapses In Lagos-Many Pupils Feared Dead (Video)

Many students have been feared dead as a result of a three-storeyed school building collapse at at Ita Faji, Lagos Island, as reported by Punch Metro reports.

 

The school was said to be on the last floor.
Prince Adams, a resident of the area, who alerted our correspondent to the incident on the telephone, said no fewer than 10 pupils had been removed from the rubble so far.
“It is terrible. Parents are crying. I can’t withstand the gorry sight,” he added.

Erinoluwa Akinmoladun, son of the owner of the collapsed building, who is also seen assisting in the rescue operations said he noticed the weakness in the structure of the building this morning and alerted his father without knowing that the building was going to collapse.

“I left my father and sisters at home,” he said

He said his father had been rescued, but he was not sure if all his siblings had been rescued from the debris.
