The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that only candidates with NIN will be able to register for UTME examination as from year 2020.

JAMB announced that it will no longer register candidates who do not have the National Identity Number (NIN) for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), beginning with the 2020 examination.

This was announced through a series of tweets on its verified Twitter handle @JAMBHQ on Thursday.

“All candidates wishing to take the 2020 UTME must have the National Identification Number (NIN).

“Prospective candidates are urged to visit the nearest @nimc_ng office for their capturing. The Board would ONLY register candidates with NIN,” it stated in the tweet.

“Please be informed that the Board frowns on any form of financial dealings between candidates and staff. All payments on JAMB services are made directly to the Board’s TSA.

“Therefore, candidates involved in any financial transaction with a staff of the Board should notify the Board immediately and also provide any useful information about such staff for necessary action.”
