The trial of musician, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley at the Federal High Court in Lagos has been adjourned till December 11th and 12th following a heated argument over space to seat in the court this morning.
The trial resumed for hearing today October 24th but as the judge settled in to hear the case, the lawyer representing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Rotimi Oyedepo and Naira Marley’s counsel, Olalekan Ojo, SAN, and two other senior lawyers, began to quarrel over seats available in the court.
The presiding judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo appealed to the lawyers to bear with the government over inadequate space in the courtroom. The courtrooms in the Federal High Court Lagos are usually very small.
Justice Oweibo then adjourned the case immediately.
