In a new development created by flood, Lagosians makes business out of carrying individuals across a flooded road on their back for a token.
With the city’s drainage system mostly poorly planned, some areas in the state, like Lagos island, have it worse, rendering major business districts less motorable and unusable for pedestrians
From the video, a long queue could be seen maintained by fully dressed individuals presumed to be off to work but stuck across the road due to flood. It is reported that locals charge a token of 50 naira to carry one person at a time on their back across the flooded road which is barely ten meters long.
