It is unknown to many that National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos State leader, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo is making over 32 million naira daily from Lagos State parks.
Following the Lagos state government ban on motorcycle and Tricycle (Keke Marwa) riders in Lagos State on February 1, 2020, in fifteen local government, this large number of Local government area ban is seriously affecting the income of NURTW.
A source close to MC Oluomo told Islander Magazine that the Lagos State council Chairman is seriously being affected and not happy with the development on the ban because the Union is losing over Five million naira daily and this does not go well with the transport Union.
When he was sworn in as the Union Leader he set up a caretaker committee in all the motor parks and the committee delivers directly to the state executive council of the union.
It was learned that the Union received 10 million naira daily from the caretaker chairman of Keke Marwa Chairman, 7 million naira from the Chairman of Okada Rider and Chairman of vehicles delivered 15 million naira which makes it 32 Million naira that the union generated daily.
But presently the State Union is now generating 12 million naira, with 8 million Naira and 4 million naira respectively from Marwa riders and Okada riders daily.
This information revealed how the NURTW Lagos State are generating more than the State government and their union leader living large and oppressing the mass with the public fund.
Meanwhile, information made available to us revealed that MC Oluomo has been taking all necessary steps in the corridor of power to allow State government.
